07/11/08 -- Wildfires in Northern California have forced closures of several destinations. Click Here for the latest fire maps in California.
The American River Complex fire is burning on the North Fork of the American River in Placer County. Destinations along the Foresthill Divide Road will be unreachable.
The Concow Fire and Canyon Complex have closed all featured destinations in the Plumas National Forest and Butte County, including Rock Creek, Grizzly Creek and the Feather River. Big Chico Creek remains open.
In the Mendocino National Forest numerous spot fires are burning near Rattlesnake Creek and the Eel River. Check links below for latest information.
The Iron Complex fire near Helena is limiting access to the North Fork of the Trinity River. In Six Rivers National Forest, the Hellís Half Acre Fire is burning the South Fork of the Trinity River in the area directly upstream from the swimming holes accessed via Forest Road 6N06.
Also in Six Rivers National Forest, in Del Norte County, the Blue 2 Fire is threatening the top of the South Fork of the Smith River.
In Southern California, the Gap Fire near Santa Barbara, while not directly affecting any of the watersheds featured, is limiting the access Santa Ynez River. Check the Los Padres national Forest website below for details and the latest news.
